Belated happy birthday!
This week’s video is really resonating with me, as I am THAT person, the one who hasn’t got the faintest clue about what I want.
Very useful question, to ask what I don’t want, and I know what’s that. I don’t want inertia, boredom and inaction. But I am back to square one, with not knowing how to eliminate these “dontwants” from my life!
thank you for your continuing inspiration and insight!
Thank you Cate for the birthday wishes. I’ve had a wonderful bank holiday weekend.
I’m so glad that my video has resonated with you…and that you are THAT person! I remember my coach asking me that exact same question a good few years back now. I hadn’t a clue what I wanted yet like you knew with a lot of certainty what I no longer wanted. It’s a good place to start. Spend some time thinking about all this. Don’t try to force answers, you’ll be surprised what comes to you when you let go a little.
Thanks again Cate, your support means so much.
Really found the video very enlightening. Fast forwarding to end of life and looking back on what I did do or not do and therefore can now see more clearly to add or take away things. Thank you
Hurray! I love this exercise, it brings about such clarity doesn’t it! So pleased you found it enlightening Jeanette. Enjoy your week.
Good thoughts, as ever, and very timely. How often do we fill up the day with all the ‘jobs’ we ‘have’ to do. Whilst we can’t be sitting on a mountain top meditating in the sunshine it is good to stop and think what we are doing with our lives and to realise that time is passing. Last year having planned a garden forever and put it off because I hadn’t the money to do it I came to realise that if I didn’t do it now I would be missing out on the enjoyment of a lovely garden so I got up literally and dug the garden every weekend throughout last summer and this year I am just loving the garden as it is – ‘under development awaiting funds’ but still a very beautiful space that gives me pleasure every day.
Have got the attached pinned on my notice board and it reminds me to live in the big picture when I can and not in the detail of every day chores.
Yes, you’re so right. We have to stop and think and decide what we’re putting off and why. Sometimes we don’t even know because we’re just caught up in the day in day out stuff. It takes something to pull us up and ask the question and I’m so happy that this video has had that effect for you.
Your garden is wonderful and how fabulous to use that as a reminder to yourself when you’re getting stuck – just get up and do it!
Wonderful xxx
