Reconnect, Restore, Rediscover
Date: Friday 31st March – Monday 3rd April
Where: Capel-y-ffin, Abergavenny
A three night retreat in the beautiful Brecon Beacons – a time to reconnect, restore and rediscover.
When was the last time you took some time out for yourself, some real time to look after you and to think about your life?
Perhaps you yearn for something different in your life now you’ve reached midlife. The one thing you know is that you’re ready to explore.
For a while now, I’ve had a dream of creating a fabulous space for women in midlife to come together. A beautiful bright space with sofas, chairs and cushions, a log burner, a table laid for lunch, spaces for us to work together and spaces to chill out and relax. It’s somewhere we can share what midlife means to us. It’s a safe place to be with likeminded women who are also on their journey through midlife. Women who want to reconnect with themselves, to spend time reflecting on where they are in life and to rekindle a love of life.
Imagine finding an oasis of calm in a beautiful farmhouse in the stunning Brecon Beacons…
Imagine an evening relaxing by candlelight, a log fire if it’s chilly, a glass of wine or cup of tea.
Imagine the space to breath and simply be the woman you are without expectations.
Does that appeal to you?
I know just the place.
Would you like to join me?
Here’s a brief outline of what we’ll be covering to whet your appetite!
Looking back… When considering your life today what are the major milestones that have brought you to where you are today? Your past has shaped you into the women you are today. We don’t need to allow our past to define us.
Considering the now… How are you living your life today? What are your immediate thoughts on waking? How’s your general sense of wellbeing? Is your glass half full or half empty?
And the future… How do you wish to live the second half of your life, the next chapter? What’s possible for you if you allowed yourself to believe? What dreams have been on the back burner for far too long? What if midlife were simply the start of a new chapter in life, the time to follow a new path? How would you choose to live knowing this?

And then there are the mountains!
Let me introduce you to Sarah Maliphant (we’ll be staying in her farmhouse)
Sarah is passionate about Mountains, Walking, Coaching… and Slowing Down. For Sarah, this mix is just a natural combination for nurture, reconnecting with life and refreshing body, soul and mind. If you’ve ever wanted some space to just take stock, recharge your batteries and have someone take care of you for a change, her down to earth retreats on an idyllically peaceful hillside in the beautiful Brecon Beacons provide a warm and accepting haven. With daily walks at a gentle pace, all meals provided (and home cooked with local produce), space to chat, and a lot of peace in which to just sit and gaze, you have the freedom to take exactly the mix of nourishment that you want. Afternoon tea is provided as well, and there’s even cake for you if you you’re gluten free or dairy intolerant.
Sarah grew up loving the outdoors, and instinctively turned in that direction when life started to feel overly busy during a successful corporate career. Her own midlife explorations eventually took her back to her roots, leaving the office world in order to nurture herself and others, to spread more calm, and support those who know there’s more to life than increasing its speed.
Here are a couple of testimonials from women how have attended previous workshops:
“I came away feeling uplifted and with lots of positive ideas. It was good to talk with other women having similar experiences and sharing and learning from each other.Your guidance throughout the morning was invaluable – a light touch, gently guiding but allowing us to find our own way.”
“Rebecca has insight and clarity and is able to put her finger on the ideas that resonate and enable you to make the changes which benefit you. From the awareness of the language you use to the strengths you forgot you have to the potential that is there. She gives you the confidence to look at your life and explore, without judgement or pressure, how you can take the next step. We all need this kind of self care and inspiration.”
The next step is very simple…
